Meet Angie Sandow – Inspiring Bold Resilience At Any Age

Inspirational Humourist • Speaker • Author • One-Handed Motorcycle Rider

Born with Poland Syndrome, a rare condition that left the entire right side of her upper torso underdeveloped, Angie Sandow learned early that life isn't always fair—and that people often judge what they don't understand.

With an underdeveloped right arm and hand, no right pectoral muscle, no developed right breast, a smaller chest wall and shoulder, and the lifelong physical challenges that come with that asymmetry, Angie grew up navigating a world that often focused on what she couldn't do rather than what she could.

She knows firsthand what it feels like to be judged, bullied, excluded, underestimated, and told what is or isn't possible. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, Angie used them to build resilience, determination, empathy, confidence, and a sense of humour that would carry her through life's next challenges.

What Angie didn't know was that life would continue to test those lessons.

A breast cancer diagnosis at age 50 became a turning point. Instead of waiting for "someday," she made the decision to start living more boldly. That decision led her to become a one-handed motorcycle rider, musician, author of From Chemo to Throttle, and Executive Producer of the award-winning documentary ANGIE: Tales of Determination.

Today, Angie combines humour, storytelling, and real-life experience to help audiences navigate life's twists and turns with resilience, confidence, and perspective.

Because of her own journey, Angie speaks with authenticity on topics such as:

  • Overcoming adversity

  • Bullying and exclusion

  • Living with visible differences

  • Self-confidence and self-acceptance

  • Resilience and perseverance

  • Leadership and personal growth

  • Aging with confidence and humour

  • Adapting to change

  • Challenging limitations

  • Turning obstacles into opportunities

Whether speaking to schools, libraries, retirement communities, healthcare organizations, service clubs, associations, community groups, or corporate teams, Angie creates presentations that are engaging, relatable, entertaining, and tailored to the audience in the room.

Audiences connect with Angie because she doesn't speak from theory—she speaks from experience.

Her presentations are filled with laughter, honest reflection, practical lessons, and powerful reminders that it is never too late to embrace change, challenge limitations, and discover what's possible.

Born Different. Built Strong.
