I’m thrilled to be featured in the latest issue of THRIVE Magazine in an inspirational article written by Jeff Tiessen titled “Born Different. Built STRONG.”
Jeff and I covered a lot of ground — growing up with a limb difference, being underestimated, my 35-year corporate career, breast cancer, motorcycles, music, and how all of those experiences eventually led me to the stage as an Inspirational Humourist.
What I especially appreciate is that Jeff captured something at the heart of what I share with audiences today: we should never allow someone else’s perception of us to determine what we believe is possible.
Of course, there’s plenty of humour in there too. Apparently, a lifetime of being different gives you some pretty good material. 😁
A huge thank you to Jeff and the team at THRIVE Magazine for sharing my story and for the wonderful feature.

Jeff ends the article with a question that I think is worth asking all of us:
What are YOU still waiting for?
👇 Tell me in the comments. You never know — saying it out loud might just be the first step toward doing it. 😁
Born different, built strong — see you on the next turn.
